In loving memory of our Beloved, EXODUS JOSEPH FOISIA
In loving memory of our Beloved, EXODUS JOSEPH FOISIA
In loving memory of Exodus “Faddy” Joseph Foisia, the Faddy Foundation was established in November, 2019 by his parents, Trent and Vanesha Foisia. This sudden tragedy has completely devastated them, Exodus’s four siblings: Christian Trent, Beijah Vanesha, Judah Sai and Korynthia Florence, their family, friends, and community. Exodus was a free spirit, beautiful inside and out, loved God, devoted to his family, and served his community. Gun and gang violence took Faddy’s precious life, but good will come from this wrong, through The EXODUS Movement. Together, we can! We are a 501c3 non-profit organization. The core team of the foundation is comprised of family and friends who are community members determined to do something and be apart of the solution of change.
OUR VISION
Our vision is to make our streets safer for our children and families, where we can live in peace without the grim threat of violence.
OUR MISSION
Our mission is to take action against violence. THE EXODUS will be a Resource Center headquartered in the City of Carson which will serve as a conduit to create awareness, promote peace and unity within the community for the benefit of all youth and families, as well as provide support to families of murdered victims. THE EXODUS will be a bridge of hope to educate, inspire and empower the youth and families by providing academic and job opportunities, mentorship, life skills, and spiritual counseling. THE EXODUS and it's affiliates will unite with the community to bring forth change.
In partnership with the City of Carson, the team is organizing it’s inaugural annual event, The Exodus—1st Annual Peace Benefit Concert on Saturday, May 2nd, 2020 in the city of Carson, California. This will be a tribute to the life of our beloved Exodus as we celebrate his ONE year memorial. It will serve as our main Fundraiser as well as a conduit of our organization’s mission to spread the message to STOP THE VIOLENCE and to promote PEACE and UNITY in our communities. The concert fundraiser will benefit The Faddy Foundation to help raise necessary funds to fulfill its ongoing mission.
In the words of his mother, Vanesha Foisia:
Exodus Joseph Foisia lived 19 years of life, deeply devoted to God, his family, and his community. He was tragically gunned down and murdered on May 4, 2019 by an alleged gang member in the city of Carson. We, Exodus’s parents are now compelled to stop the violence and spread the message of peace, hope, and unity. We will carry out our son’s legacy of love and community by establishing this foundation in his honor, which will provide resources to promote freedom and opportunities to the youth and families. We will thrive through the tragedy to triumph! The meaning of Exodus’s name is our inspiration and symbolic of the dire need in our community: DEPART FROM THE BONDAGE OF OLD, AND JOURNEY INTO NEWNESS OF LIFE.
We invite you to be a sponsor or supporter of this event! As an important member of our South Bay community, your involvement with us is not only crucial, but personal, as we take a stand for our cities! This is an opportunity for you or your organization to get involved and join other individuals, organizations, and coalitions in your own community to promote prevention efforts and create and strengthen these community partnerships to be a part of the solution. The theme of this year’s concert is "Stop the Violence! Guns Down!” and will bring forth positivity through music, guest speakers and food vendors. This theme reminds us of Exodus's mother’s endearing words and a clear message that it takes all of us to rally together to stop the violence and promote a safer, stronger, happier community that we all love.
Community supporters are the primary source of funding for this event and will help ensure its success. Please contact us if you would like to become one of our Sponsors, and we will send you more information on the benefits of sponsorship. Your donation is also tax-deductible, and any amount is appreciated. Beyond your sponsorship, we welcome you to join us by attending and participating in THE EXODUS Annual Peace Benefit Concert.
